It’s a about time we had a ‘fairy’ image. This is the beautiful colour frontispiece by Willy Pogany to ‘The Welsh Fairy Book’ by W Jenkyn Thomas, first published in 1907.

Uncanny pic of the day: Rackham meets Rossetti
I keep name-checking the great Arthur Rackham, so here he is with one of his stunning colour illustrations to Christina Rossetti’s classic poem of fairy inveigling, ‘Goblin Market’.
