Ghosts on CCTV are a new millennium phenomenon pretty much, which makes them interesting in their own right. I’ll shortly have some exclusive footage of my own to post here but the latest story doing the rounds concerns a tea room in Perth.
According to reporter Will Lyon in the Scottish Daily Record, a ‘ghostly apparition’ was spottted by Curiositeaz Vintage Tea Room owner Dan Clifford on security camera recordings ‘hovering over a table set for two’. Mr Clifford is convinced it’s a ghost because he can ‘see through it’ and believes it helps to confirm accounts of spooky activity reported in the building recently.
He told the newspaper: ‘Over the past few months, all the staff have experienced something. Some have heard voices. Others have witnessed chairs moving and one was pushed forwards and felt a chill right down their spine.’
Mr Clifford has called in the Paranormal Investigations Scotland group and also intends to install higher definition security cameras in the hope of capturing better images should the apparition manifest again. This probably isn’t the last we’ve heard of the Curiositeaz (terrible name!) ghost. It’s not clear from the story whether the image was moving or simply caught as a time lapse still.
