>In recent years more has been written about strange goings-on at Cannock Chase, an area of woodland in Staffordshire, than anywhere else. Werewolves, big cats, Bigfoot-type things and UFOs have been particularly prevalent among the conifers. Nick Redfern, who was brought up in the area, is adding his voice to the outraged response to plans to sell off parts of the woodland. The threat is that large chunks of the forest will no longer be open to the public and may even be built upon or turned into golf courses. It’s just the sort of site a leisure company like CenterParks might buy – if so, their visitors might get more than they bargained (scenes similar to those from a Primeval episode spring to mind!). >Hi Richard,I’m a producer working on a new series called Paranormal Witness, which will cover stories about supernatural subjects ranging from hauntings to possessions to alien abductions. Due to be broadcast by SyFy in the US this summer, the format will consist of first-hand testimony, interspersed with dramatic reconstruction.I’d be immensely grateful if you’d have time for a quick conversation on the phone over the next few working days. I’m hoping that you may be able to point me in the direction of good strong stories that will not only be gripping and narrative driven but will also have a level of credibility and perhaps also evidential backup that will allow us to entice – and perhaps even win over – the skeptical viewer. I can be reached via this e-mail address or on 020 7017 1650. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I very much look forward to hearing from you,Best Wishes,John O’MahonyProducer, Paranormal Witness2nd Floor Solecast House | 13-27 Brunswick Place | London | N1 6DXDL: + 44 (0) 207 017 1650 | Fax: + 44 (0) 20 7017 1651www.rawtelevision.co.uk
